Liquids at elevated temperature or pumped near vapour pressure can cause issues in many industries. Liquids in these states can flash causing damage to equipment.
To provide back pressure and flow control orifice plates may be used to stop flashing and also keep centrifugal pumps in their operating windows. Orifice plates can lead to high liquid velocities
causing noise, vibration and potential cavitation across the orifice plates. This can damage equipment including pumps and seals.
The EDAMP Elastic damping pressure regulator is designed for protecting your hydraulic equipment. The device leads to precise pressure control, preventing high velocity, noise and cavitation. It can also be used to provide constant back pressure keeping centrifugal pumps in their operating window.
EDAMP is designed and manufactured in accordance with your process conditions giving the best protection for your equipment.
EDAMP is available from 1/4” up to 12” providing protections
on multiple flow and pressure ranges.
EDAMP WORKING PRINCAPLE
EDAMP is able to automatically adjust the backpressure against by the modulating spring which alters the orifice plate area.
Liquid will enter the inlet and the spring and damping plate will automatically adjust to control the back pressure provided by the valve.
The multi stage bypass arrangement prevents blockages in the line and has a gradually pressure reduction across the valve avoiding cavitation, high velocities and high wear rates.
The device acts as a check valve stopping reverse flow through pumps and other equipment.
Multiple construction varieties with both cast and forged bodies, with options for threaded and flanged connections. The device is widely adaptable across a wide range of piping specifications and industry requirements.
